Tour Overview

The lush forests and grasslands of Manas National Park, lying at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Assam, offer one of India’s most enchanting wildlife and birding experiences. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Tiger Reserve, Manas is a seamless blend of scenic beauty and ecological richness — from dense sal forests and riverine grasslands to the crystal-clear waters of the Manas River flowing down from Bhutan. This biodiversity hotspot shelters an incredible array of birds and mammals, many of which are rare, endemic, and globally threatened.

This 5-day, 4-night WILDLIFE & BIRDING TOUR is designed to cover the key habitats of Manas within a shorter duration — perfect for working professionals who wish to explore the best of northeastern India’s wilderness without a long itinerary. The tour takes you across central and eastern Manas, including areas around Bansbari, Kokilabari, and Mathanguri, combining spectacular scenery, diverse birdlife, and exciting mammal sightings along the Bhutan border.

Birding and wildlife viewing are carried out through jeep safaris, guided forest walks, and riverine excursions, offering the ideal mix of adventure and comfort. The region’s mosaic of habitats ensures a fascinating variety of sightings — from grassland specialists and forest dwellers to vibrant foothill birds and charismatic mammals.
