Tour Overview

The lush evergreen forests, lateritic plateaus, and coastal lowlands of Sindhudurg, nestled along the central Western Ghats of Maharashtra, form one of India’s most diverse and underrated birding landscapes. This region bridges the transition between the Konkan coast and the Western Ghats, creating a mosaic of habitats — from mangroves and grasslands to moist deciduous and semi-evergreen forests — that host an exceptional range of Western Ghats endemics and rare avifauna.

This 4-day, 3-night BIRDING TOUR is designed to explore the key birding zones of Sindhudurg and its adjoining Ghats within a compact and well-paced itinerary — perfect for working professionals seeking a short yet immersive birding getaway. From scanning for kingfishers to exploring forested plateaus alive with endemic bulbuls, hornbills, and rare owls, every day brings a new spectrum of birdlife and photographic opportunities.

Birding is conducted through guided forest trails & short drives ensuring excellent coverage of habitats ranging from lowland to mid-elevation forests. The mix of dense greenery, and the vibrant calls of endemic birds makes Sindhudurg one of the most rewarding monsoon and post-monsoon birding destinations in the Western Ghats.
